Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team to deliver care and support to patients. You will perform your responsibilities under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This is a part-time, on-site role with rolling start dates.

What you'll do#

• Keep customers and patients healthy through the adoption and management of patient care programs.
• Display empathy and compassion for patients, customers, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
• Assist with patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory requirements, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and workflow management.
• Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 20 lbs, reaching, stooping, and maintaining an upright position for extended periods.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in or acceptance to an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid intern and/or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it as required.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and designated timeframes.
• Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
