About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team to deliver care and support to patients. You will perform your responsibilities under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role involves managing patient care programs, assisting with inventory and workflow, and maintaining regulatory compliance.
What you'll do#
- Support patient health through the adoption and management of patient care programs.
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Facilitate a positive team culture that promotes energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
- Assist with pharmacy operations, including quality assurance, customer service, and workflow management.
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframes.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 20 pounds, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Possession of, or being in the process of obtaining, a valid intern or technician license as required by the state.
- 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to perform precise tasks, including typing and visual inspection of small parts.
