About the role#
As a pharmacy intern, you work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You play a part in the pharmacy team by delivering care, modeling company values, and helping patients manage their health. This role focuses on maintaining a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy work environment.
- Manage patient care programs to support health outcomes.
- Show empathy and compassion for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Align your team around the goal of improving health outcomes.
- Create a team culture that promotes caring and enthusiasm.
- Perform tasks including inventory management, workflow management, and customer service.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Between 0 and 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines and timeframes.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and visual acuity.
