About the role#
HealthPartners offers a 12-month postgraduate fellowship program for Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners. This program supports new graduates transitioning to practice or experienced clinicians moving into hospital medicine. The fellowship includes clinical rotations, didactic lectures, simulations, and structured mentorship at Regions Hospital or Methodist Hospital. You will receive clinical supervision and support from attending physicians and other advanced practice clinicians.
What you'll do#
- Obtain patient histories and perform physical examinations.
- Develop differential diagnoses and formulate assessment and management plans.
- Coordinate patient care and provide treatment and education.
- Participate in all required educational opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- Prior inpatient experience in clinical rotations is strongly preferred.
- Current national certification by the NCCPA for Physician Assistants.
- Current Minnesota licensure as a Registered Nurse, national certification by the AANP, ANCC, or AACN, and certification to practice as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in Minnesota.
- Current certification to practice as a Physician Assistant in Minnesota.
- Submission of a resume, a personal statement, three professional letters of recommendation, and transcripts.
