Welcome to Intern Insider! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Intern Insider job board and related services ("Services"), provided by Intern Insider Technologies Inc. By using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use our Services.
1. Services
Intern Insider is an online job board designed to connect students and early-career professionals with internship opportunities. Our platform allows users to create profiles, search for internships, and apply to positions posted sourced from the employers on the company's career site, ATS boards, or LinkedIn. We also offer additional services such as recruiter contact finding, AI-powered resume builder, and career resources.
2. Subscriptions, Trials & Payments
- Fees & Currency: All prices are listed and charged in United States Dollars (USD) unless explicitly stated otherwise. All prices are displayed at the time of purchase and may be updated prospectively. Applicable taxes may be added to your total. Currency conversion fees may apply depending on your payment method and financial institution. We are not responsible for any currency exchange rate fluctuations or conversion fees charged by your bank or payment processor.
- Free Trials: Free trials, when available, are strictly limited to one per user and per account. Once you have used a free trial, you are not eligible for another free trial on the same or any additional accounts you create. If you attempt to start a second (or subsequent) free trial, your subscription will immediately convert to a paid subscription and you will be charged the applicable fee at the time of sign-up, with no additional trial period. Attempting to circumvent this policy or obtain multiple free trials is a violation of these Terms of Service and may result in suspension or termination of your account(s) and loss of access to the Services. Billing for paid subscriptions begins automatically at the end of the free trial period unless you cancel before the trial ends.
- Auto-Renewal: All subscription plans, including monthly, quarterly, and annual options, automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel renewal through your account settings. If you cancel, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current paid period.
- Refunds: Except where required by law, all payments are non-refundable after the free trial period has ended.
- Payment Processing: We use Stripe and other authorized payment processors to handle payments. By making a payment, you agree to the terms and privacy policies of the applicable payment processor, including Stripe's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
- Failed Payments: If your payment method is declined or fails, your access to paid features will be suspended until payment is successfully received. We will automatically retry charging your payment method up to 8 times over a period of approximately one month. If all retry attempts fail, your subscription may be cancelled. If you encounter payment issues, please contact us directly at team@interninsider.me to resolve the matter.
3. Eligibility
To use our Services, you must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent if you are 16 or older. By using our Services, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
4. Account Registration
To access certain features of Intern Insider, you must register for an account and provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
5. User Roles & Responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile, resumes, and application materials, and for complying with applicable laws and any employer requirements.
- No Employment Guarantee: Intern Insider provides tools and information to accelerate your search, but we do not guarantee interviews, offers, or outcomes. Whether you land an internship depends on your qualifications, effort, employer needs, and market conditions.
6. User Conduct
- Compliance: You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including employment laws and equal opportunity policies.
- Prohibited Activities: You agree not to:
- Use the platform to discriminate against applicants based on race, gender, age, disability, or other protected categories.
- Share false or misleading information about yourself or a company.
- Use automation, bots, or unauthorized software to scrape or interact with job postings or our platform.
7. Job Listings and Application Guidelines
- Job Listings: Job listings displayed on Intern Insider are aggregated from publicly available sources, including company career sites, ATS boards, and LinkedIn Jobs. We do not control the content, accuracy, or availability of these listings. Job postings may become outdated or unavailable without notice.
- Application Process: Intern Insider is not responsible for hiring decisions made by employers. We facilitate access to job opportunities but do not guarantee that applications will be reviewed or that positions will be available. You are responsible for verifying job details and application requirements directly with employers.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on Intern Insider, including job postings, user profiles, and platform features, is owned by Intern Insider Technologies Inc. or its licensors. You may not use, copy, or distribute any content without permission.
9. Trademarks & Logos
Company names and logos (e.g., references like “We’ll get you hired at …”) are trademarks of their respective owners. Use is for identification and illustrative purposes only. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by those companies, and we do not imply any hiring guarantee.
10. Data Privacy
We collect and process user data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our Services, you consent to our data collection and usage practices.
11. Termination
- Cancellation of Subscription: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account profile settings. Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
- Account Deletion: To completely delete your account and all associated data from the platform, you must contact us directly at team@interninsider.me. Account deletion requests will be processed within a reasonable timeframe after verification of your identity.
- Termination by Us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activities, or misuse the platform.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
Intern Insider provides its Services "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee job placements or employment outcomes.
13. AI & Automation
Resume and cover-letter recommendations and job-fit scores are generated by AI and heuristics and may be incomplete or incorrect. Human review is required. You remain responsible for your materials and decisions.
By using AI-powered features, you authorize us to process the information you submit (including resume content and related context) to provide the requested functionality. You understand that we may store AI interactions (such as prompts and outputs) to operate the Services (for example, to support version history and restore functionality), as described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Limitation of Liability
Intern Insider Technologies Inc. is not responsible for any losses, damages, or disputes arising from job postings, applications, or hiring decisions made through the platform.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Intern Insider Technologies Inc., its affiliates, and employees from any claims, liabilities, or damages arising from your use of the Services.
16. Contact Finder & Recruiter Credits
Intern Insider offers a Contact Finder feature that allows users to discover and reveal recruiter contact information, including email addresses, for networking and outreach purposes.
Credit System
- Credit Allocation: Recruiter credits are provided upfront as part of your subscription plan. The number of credits included varies by plan: 15 credits for monthly, 45 credits for quarterly, and 180 credits for annual subscriptions. During a free trial, you receive 3 credits to try the feature.
- Credit Renewal: When your subscription renews, you receive a fresh allocation of credits based on your plan. Credits accumulate—any unused credits from previous billing periods are added to your new allocation.
- Additional Credit Purchases: You may purchase additional credits at any time. A pack of 20 credits is available for $4.99 USD, plus applicable taxes.
- Credit Usage: Credits are consumed when you use the Contact Finder to search for recruiters or reveal their email addresses. Each action that consumes credits will display the credit cost before confirmation.
- Credit Expiration: If your subscription ends or is cancelled, any remaining unused credits will immediately expire and be reset to zero. No refund will be provided for expired credits.
- Credits Are Non-Transferable: Credits cannot be transferred between accounts, sold, or exchanged for cash.
Accuracy of Contact Information
- Publicly Available Information: All contact information provided through the Contact Finder is compiled from publicly available sources. We aggregate and organize this information for your convenience.
- No Guarantee of Accuracy: While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or validity of any contact information, including email addresses. Contact details may become outdated as individuals change roles or companies.
- Inaccuracy Claims: If you believe the email information provided is inaccurate, you may contact us at team@interninsider.me with evidence of the inaccuracy. If we verify the information was incorrect at the time of reveal, we will refund the credit used for that specific contact at our discretion.
User Responsibility & Liability
- Your Responsibility: You are solely responsible for how you use the contact information obtained through the Contact Finder. This includes compliance with all applicable laws, including but not limited to anti-spam laws (such as CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR), privacy regulations, and professional conduct standards.
- Permitted Use: Contact information should be used for legitimate professional networking and job-seeking purposes only. You agree not to use the information for harassment, spamming, unauthorized marketing, or any illegal activities.
- Prohibited Activities: You may not:
- Send unsolicited bulk emails or spam to contacts obtained through our service
- Sell, redistribute, or publicly share the contact information
- Use the information for any purpose other than professional outreach
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting recruiters
- Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Intern Insider Technologies Inc. from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your use of the contact information, including any actions taken by third parties based on your outreach.
- Limitation of Liability: Intern Insider Technologies Inc. shall not be held liable or accountable for any actions you take using the contact information obtained through the Contact Finder, including but not limited to any communications, messages, or outreach you conduct. We provide information only; we do not control or endorse your use of it.
17. Unauthorized Access and Payment Bypass
- You may not access our APIs or premium features without explicit permission.
- Attempting to bypass payment systems, exploit vulnerabilities, or scrape job data may result in legal action.
18. Metrics & Claims
Statements such as “67% of internships never appear on LinkedIn,” “3× more internships,” or “86% said Intern Insider helped them land an internship” refer to internal analyses, user surveys, or data-collection methodologies at a point in time and are not guarantees. Methodologies may evolve.
19. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
20. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on our website, and continued use of the Services after changes means you accept the new Terms.
