About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will complete a comprehensive training roadmap designed to prepare you for a future role as a Pharmacist. This program provides an overview of store, district, and regional operations while you work under the direction of a preceptor.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled safely, accurately, and promptly.
- Follow company SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures at workstations including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and care.
- Offer to counsel and field medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify medication details.
- Maintain self-awareness and provide coaching to team members.
- Complete basic inventory activities like putting away deliveries and cycle counts.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local laws and professional standards.
- Deliver patient health care services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing.
- Complete licensure and training requirements to obtain Technician Immunizer status.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- 1+ years of experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to work in your home store and travel to other locations across the market.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and mathematical reasoning.
- Ability to concentrate on tasks, pivot between duties, and resolve problems.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring close visual acuity.

- Location: Clarion, Pennsylvania.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Type: Part-time.
- Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
- This is a paid position with a rolling term.
