About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap that covers pharmacy operations, workflow, and patient care. This role is designed to prepare you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly and fill prescriptions accurately.
- Assist the pharmacy team with patient service and care.
- Follow company standard operating procedures to maintain patient safety.
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap, including key learning experiences and activities.
- Contribute to a high-performing team and embrace a growth mindset.
- Communicate with patients and prescribers to clarify information or facilitate medication changes.
- Perform inventory activities such as cycle counts and restocking.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe.
- Proficiency in mathematical reasoning to determine dosages and supply.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with patients and team members.
- Ability to remain mobile and upright for extended periods.
- Capacity to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally.

- Schedule: Part-time, rolling term.
