About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your didactic pharmacy education into real-world practice to prepare for a future role as a Pharmacist. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap that provides an overview of store, district, and regional operations. You will gain hands-on experience by working alongside the pharmacy team to ensure operations run safely, accurately, and efficiently.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap, including Key Learning Experiences and activities.
- Assist the pharmacy team in daily operations, including prescription fulfillment at production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off stations.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by demonstrating empathy, addressing patient needs, and solving problems.
- Support immunizations under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, including educating patients and documenting information.
- Maintain compliance with company standard operating procedures, federal and state laws, and patient privacy regulations.
- Perform basic inventory activities, such as cycle counts, returns-to-stock, and managing medication deliveries.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Strong attention and focus to manage tasks accurately over extended periods.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to perform mathematical reasoning for prescription calculations.
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends and travel to different store locations within the market as needed.

- Schedule: Part-time with rolling availability.
- Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
