About the role#
The Pharmacy Intern position is a part-time, paid summer 2026 opportunity designed to help you transition from didactic pharmacy education to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to gain hands-on experience in pharmacy operations while preparing for future responsibilities as a pharmacist. This role involves completing a comprehensive training roadmap that covers store, district, and regional operations.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled safely and accurately.
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap, including Key Learning Experiences and activities.
- Demonstrate empathy and genuine care in all interactions to contribute to positive patient experiences.
- Support immunizations and other health care services as permitted by law and supported by required training.
- Follow company standard operating procedures at every workstation to assist pharmacists and technicians.
- Maintain flexibility to work in your home store and travel to other locations within the market as needed.
What you'll need#
- Acceptance into or active enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it as required.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including availability for nights and weekends.
- Ability to pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite is preferred.
