About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your academic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice to prepare for a future career as a Pharmacist. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap designed to provide a deep understanding of store, district, and regional pharmacy operations. This role focuses on supporting the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly while developing your clinical and technical skills.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap, including Key Learning Experiences and activities.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off, to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by demonstrating empathy, fielding medical questions, and providing caring service.
- Assist the pharmacy team by following company Standard Operating Procedures and maintaining compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical principles.
- Perform inventory activities such as cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, and managing medication deliveries.
- Maintain flexibility to support business needs, including potential travel to other store locations within the market.
What you'll need#
- Must be accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Must possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern or technician licensure.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Strong attention and focus, with the ability to concentrate on tasks and pivot between priorities.
- Proficiency in mathematical reasoning to solve problems, such as calculating dosages and day supply.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 20 lbs.

- Schedule: Part-time with rolling availability.
- Compensation: This is a paid position with a pay range of $20.50 to $24.25 per hour.
