About the role#
Profound Research is building a talent community for students currently enrolled in or finishing their degree programs. This is an expression of interest for future internship opportunities. What you'll do#
Future internship roles involve supporting clinical research studies and participant visits under supervision. You will gain hands-on experience in a real-world research environment, including:
- Assisting with participant flow, such as greeting, rooming, and preparing for study visits.
- Supporting data collection, documentation, and the organization of study materials.
- Gaining exposure to clinical procedures like vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen processing.
- Supporting laboratory and specimen-related workflows.
- Learning to implement clinical research protocols and gaining exposure to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Documentation Practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Interacting with study participants to contribute to a patient-centered experience.
- Working alongside Clinical Research Coordinators, investigators, and other research professionals.
- Becoming familiar with clinical research systems and study workflows.
- Learning how clinical trials contribute to the development of new therapies.
What you'll need#
We are looking for individuals who are curious about clinical research and interested in building a career in healthcare, science, or research. You should be currently enrolled in or in the final stages of completing a degree program in Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or a related field.
Location & details#
This is an on-site, paid internship talent community. You must currently reside in or around one of these markets:
- Detroit, Michigan
- Munster, Indiana
- Las Vegas, Nevada
- Southern California (including the San Diego area)
We are willing to collaborate with your college or university to meet academic requirements, such as documentation or learning objectives. Please note that joining this community is not a current job opening and does not guarantee an internship, interview, or employment.
