What you'll do#
If selected for a future internship, you will work alongside Clinical Research Coordinators and investigators to support clinical trials. Responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with participant flow, including greeting, rooming, and preparing for study visits.
- Supporting data collection and clinical research documentation.
- Organizing study materials, supplies, and visit documentation.
- Gaining exposure to clinical procedures such as vital signs, EKGs, phlebotomy, and specimen processing.
- Learning the implementation of clinical research protocols.
- Developing familiarity with clinical research systems and documentation platforms.
- Interacting with study participants to contribute to a positive experience.
- Learning about Good Clinical Practice, Good Documentation Practices, and regulatory requirements.
What you'll need#
- You are currently in the final stages of completing a degree program.
- You have a genuine curiosity about clinical research.
- You are interested in building a career in healthcare, science, or research.
- You must reside in or around the Detroit, Michigan area.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site role based in Detroit, Michigan.
- Future internship opportunities are paid.
- We are willing to collaborate with your university to meet academic requirements, including documentation and learning objectives.
- The work requires physical presence at a clinical facility, which may involve prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or walking, and the potential use of personal protective equipment.
