Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to deliver patient care and maintain a safe, effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on supporting pharmacy operations, including patient safety, regulatory compliance, inventory management, and workflow support. You will play an active part in helping patients manage their health while gaining professional experience in a clinical setting.

What you'll do#

• Deliver exceptional care to patients and assist with managing patient care programs.
• Model empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Facilitate a team culture characterized by enthusiasm, caring, and collaboration.
• Align team members around the purpose of improving health care outcomes.
• Perform physical tasks including scanning, bagging, and moving items, as well as maintaining standing positions for extended periods.
• Complete all required training and obtain necessary licensure within state-mandated timeframes.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Possession of, or active progress toward, a valid intern or technician license as required by the state.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
• Immunization eligibility is preferred.

• Location: Fort Washington, Maryland.
• Work Modality: On-site.
• Employment Type: Part-time.
• Pay Range: $20.50 - $24.25 per hour.
