About the role#
The Healthcare Operations Fellow is a structured 6-12 month program designed to prepare you for leadership in ambulatory care. You will gain practical experience in the inner workings of healthcare administration through a mix of group and individual projects. This role involves deployment to various clinical sites to support our organizational expansion.
What you'll do#
- Learn and apply Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) requirements for team-based care.
- Gain experience in healthcare administration, including finance, fiscal management, and regulatory compliance.
- Use LEAN methodology to drive process improvements and create positive change.
- Develop skills in managing clinic operations, service lines, and supervisory practices.
- Balance the demands of community engagement with government relations and regulations.
- Participate in project work spanning employee relations, clinical quality, reporting, and data analysis.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare, Non-Profit Management, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across departments.
- A valid California driver's license, a reliable car, and an acceptable driving record, as travel between sites is required.
- A demonstrated interest in nonprofit management, community development, and equal access to healthcare.

- This is a full-time, on-site position based in San Diego, California.
- The salary for this position is $70,304.00 per year.
