About the role#
This is a paid internship for the Summer 2026 term. As a Pharmacy Student Intern at Albertsons Companies, you will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will work under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist or designated preceptor to support patient care and pharmacy operations. This is an on-site, full-time position.
What you'll do#
- Perform all pharmacy duties under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
- Fill prescriptions while following all laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Consult with customers and health care professionals about drug therapy, prescription knowledge, and health products.
- Participate in clinical services, including patient counseling, immunizations, vaccinations, and point of care testing.
- Implement initiatives to help increase pharmacy profitability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- A valid state intern license, if required by the state of employment.
- Ability to adapt to changes in your schedule and work priorities.
- Ability to cooperate with others and work effectively as part of a team.
