About the role#
As a Pharmacy Student Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will work under the guidance of a registered pharmacist to support patient care and pharmacy operations. This role focuses on building relationships with patients and contributing to the health of the local community.
What you'll do#
- Perform all tasks under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
- Prepare and fill prescriptions while following all laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Provide advice and consultation to customers regarding drug therapy and health products.
- Participate in clinical services, including immunizations, vaccinations, and disease state management.
- Implement initiatives to support pharmacy profitability.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy.
- A valid state intern license, if required by the state of employment.
- The ability to adapt to changes in work schedules and priorities.
- A cooperative attitude and the ability to work well within a team.
