About the role#
This position offers pharmacy students practical experience within a community setting. You will work at a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store, gaining exposure to the expanding role of the community pharmacist. The role provides real-world training to complement your academic studies and prepares you for a career in pharmacy.
What you'll do#
- Deliver health, beauty, and convenience services to the community.
- Provide customer service by acknowledging everyone who approaches the pharmacy.
- Manage customer confidentiality and ensure all privacy requirements are met.
- Support daily pharmacy operations.
- Develop skills in patient communication, drug therapy, and disease state management.
- Learn to manage a retail pharmacy environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Health Administration, or Biology.
- Ability to remain clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Interest in gaining knowledge of OTC products and patient counseling.

- Location: Calgary, Alberta.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time with flexible shifts.
- Compensation: $23.20 to $30.25 per hour.
