About the role#
This is a part-time position for a Pharmacy Student at a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart in Vancouver. You will gain practical experience in a community pharmacy setting to support your academic training. The role focuses on patient interaction, pharmacy operations, and real-world health service delivery.
What you'll do#
- Greet customers who approach the pharmacy and ensure they feel welcome.
- Manage patient confidentiality and consent according to privacy requirements.
- Maintain a professional appearance so you are clearly identifiable to the public.
- Learn to manage retail pharmacy operations and workflows.
- Develop your skills in patient counseling, disease state management, and drug therapy.
- Improve your communication with patients, co-workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Gain hands-on knowledge of over-the-counter products.
What you'll need#
- You are currently a student working toward becoming a pharmacist.
- You enjoy working in a community pharmacy environment.
- You want to provide a positive experience for pharmacy customers.
Location & details#
- Location: 2303 West 41st Ave, Vancouver, BC.
- Schedule: Part-time, day shifts.
- Compensation: $22.00 - $28.75 per hour, based on experience and location.
- This is an on-site, paid position.
