About the role#
This pharmacy internship provides practical experience within a community setting. You will work in a retail environment designed to enhance your academic studies and prepare you for a career as a pharmacist. You will work under a local Associate-Owner, gaining insight into the daily operations of a community pharmacy.
What you'll do#
- Greet all customers who approach the pharmacy.
- Maintain customer confidentiality and manage consent according to privacy requirements.
- Ensure you are clearly identifiable to the public while on duty.
- Manage retail pharmacy operations.
- Provide patient counseling and engage in disease state management.
- Develop your knowledge of over-the-counter products and drug therapy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in pharmacy studies.
- An interest in community pharmacy practice.
