About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern at Hy-Vee, you will gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist to support patient care and pharmacy operations. This role requires availability for night and weekend shifts.
What you'll do#
- Provide friendly service by greeting customers.
- Process and fill prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
- Prepare and label medication containers.
- Manage inventory by ordering, stocking, and checking invoices.
- Keep the pharmacy and dispensing area clean.
- Report any medication errors to the appropriate personnel.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Registration with the State Pharmacy Board as an intern.
- Up to six months of related work experience is preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for the duration of your shift.
- Proficiency in counting, pouring, packaging, and labeling medications.
