About the role#
Saint Luke's North Hospital is hiring a Nursing Intern for the Medical Intermediate unit. This is a paid position for students currently enrolled in an accredited RN program. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to gain hands-on clinical experience.
What you'll do#
- Perform direct and indirect patient care activities.
- Assist with clinical procedures under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
- Provide support to other members of the health care team.
- Complete technical tasks after receiving unit competency validation.
- Please note that you are restricted from performing any licensed nursing tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited RN program.
- Completion of a Fundamentals of Nursing course.
- An expected graduation date in 2026 or 2027.
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
- Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or the Red Cross.
Location & details#
- Location: Kansas City, Missouri.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: PRN, with a minimum of 1 shift per 6-week schedule.
- Status: Part-time.
