About the role#
Saint Luke's North Hospital is seeking a Nursing Intern to gain hands-on clinical experience. This position is designed for nursing students who have completed the fundamental portion of their program, as well as experienced Certified Nursing Assistants. The role offers flexible scheduling to accommodate academic commitments.
What you'll do#
- Provide patient care under the direct supervision of an RN.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, nutrition, hydration, ambulation, and positioning.
- Anticipate and address the needs of patients and their families in a proactive manner.
- Collaborate with the broader health care team to improve patient care outcomes.
- Support hospital throughput and capacity while enhancing the overall patient experience.
- Individualize and modify care plans based on specific patient needs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a nursing student.
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
- Basic Life Support RQI certification.
Location & details#
- Location: Kansas City, Missouri.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Shift structure: 12-hour shifts (06:45 am to 7:15 pm or 6:45 pm to 7:15 am) with a requirement of one shift per six-week rotation.
