About the role#
Saint Luke's North Hospital is seeking a Nursing Intern to gain hands-on experience in a hospital setting. This role is designed for nursing students who have completed the fundamental portion of their program, as well as experienced Certified Nursing Assistants. The position offers flexible scheduling to accommodate academic commitments, requiring only one shift per six-week rotation.
What you'll do#
- Provide patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, personal hygiene, nutrition, hydration, ambulation, and positioning.
- Anticipate and address the needs of patients and their families in a proactive manner.
- Individualize and modify care based on specific patient requirements.
- Collaborate with health care team members to enhance the quality of patient care.
- Help improve hospital throughput, capacity, and the overall patient experience by floating between departments as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a nursing student.
- Less than one year of applicable experience.
- Basic Life Support RQI certification.

- Location: Kansas City, Missouri.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Type: Full-time, paid position.
- Shift Details: 12-hour shifts available from 6:45 am to 7:15 pm or 6:45 pm to 7:15 am.
