About the role#
Saint Luke's East Hospital is hiring a Nursing Intern for the Medical Surgical Ortho unit. This is a paid, on-site internship for the Summer 2027 term. The role is PRN, requiring a minimum of one shift per six-week schedule.
What you'll do#
- Perform clinical procedures and provide patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Support other members of the health care team.
- Carry out direct and indirect patient care activities.
- Complete technical tasks once you have received unit competency validation.
- Note that you are restricted from performing any licensed tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited RN program.
- Completion of a Fundamentals of Nursing course.
- An expected graduation date in 2026 or 2027.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Less than one year of applicable experience.
