About the role#
Saint Luke's East Hospital is hiring a Nursing Intern for the Medical Float Pool. This is a paid, full-time role that operates on a rolling basis. You will work on-site in Lees Summit, Missouri. This position requires a minimum of one shift per six-week schedule.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Support other members of the healthcare team.
- Perform clinical procedures and technical tasks once you complete unit competency validation.
- Note that you are restricted from performing any licensed tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited RN program.
- Completion of a Fundamentals of Nursing course.
- An expected graduation date in 2027 or 2028.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
