About the role#
Saint Luke's is hiring a Nursing Intern for the Medical Intermediate unit at Saint Luke's East Hospital. This is a paid, part-time position available for the Summer 2027 and Fall 2027 terms. You will work on-site in Lees Summit, Missouri.
What you'll do#
- Perform clinical procedures and provide patient care for assigned patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Support other members of the health care team.
- Carry out direct and indirect patient care activities.
- Complete technical tasks once you have received unit competency validation.
- Note that you are restricted from performing any licensed nursing tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited RN program.
- Completion of a Fundamentals of Nursing course.
- An expected graduation date in 2027 or 2028.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Less than one year of applicable experience.
Location & details#
- Location: Lees Summit, Missouri.
- Schedule: PRN, with a minimum of one shift per six-week schedule.
