About the role#
The Nursing Intern for the Neuro A unit supports patient care operations under the direction of a Registered Nurse. This position involves performing both direct and indirect patient care activities and assisting other members of the health care team. Interns may perform specific technical tasks once they have completed unit competency validation, though they are restricted from performing any tasks that require professional licensure.
What you'll do#
- Perform clinical procedures for assigned patients.
- Provide direct and indirect patient care.
- Support health care team members in daily operations.
- Execute technical tasks as authorized by unit competency validation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited RN program.
- Completion of a Fundamentals of Nursing course.
- Expected graduation date in 2027 or 2028.
- Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
Location & details#
- Location: Kansas City, Missouri.
- Schedule: PRN, with a minimum of one shift per six-week schedule.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Paid internship.
