    About the role#

    Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City is seeking a Nursing Intern for the Renal Transplant Unit. This unit provides care to medical short stay, high acuity patients, including those with conditions related to renal health, heart failure, and non-surgical observation. This is a year-round, PRN position.

    What you'll do#

    • Perform clinical procedures and provide direct or indirect patient care under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
    • Provide support to other members of the health care team.
    • Perform technical tasks as permitted by unit competency validation.
    • Note that interns are restricted from performing any licensed tasks.

    What you'll need#

    • Enrollment in a formal nursing school.
    • Completion of a fundamentals of care course in nursing school.
    • A certified nursing assistant certificate.
    • Successful completion of the SLHS NA internal training program.
    • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
    • Less than one year of applicable experience.
