About the role#
Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City is hiring a Nursing Intern for the Medical Intermediate Unit. This role supports the care of medical short stay, high acuity patients. You will work within a Magnet designated facility. This is a paid, part time, year round position.
What you'll do#
- Perform clinical procedures and direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Handle indirect patient care activities.
- Assist other health care team members with daily tasks.
- Complete technical tasks as permitted by unit competency validation.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a formal nursing school.
- A certified nursing assistant certificate.
- Completion of the SLHS NA internal training program.
- Completion of a fundamentals of care course in nursing school.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
