About the role#
We are hiring a Student Nurse Extern to join our team in Grand Junction. This is a part-time, paid position that offers students the opportunity to gain clinical experience under the supervision of Registered Nurses. You will work on-site at our facility.
What you'll do#
- Perform routine tasks that do not require nursing judgment.
- Provide basic patient care as delegated by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, blood glucose, and intake and output.
- Assist patients with daily living activities like bathing, grooming, and eating.
- Help transport patients throughout the facility.
- Monitor patients identified as a fall risk.
- Collect specimens and manage supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and stock levels in patient rooms and the department.
- Work as a member of the health care team to support patients, families, and colleagues.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Board of Nursing approved undergraduate nursing program.
- Completion of at least three semesters of nursing school with good academic standing.
- Status as a student in your final semester.
- Current BLS certification.
- Availability to work 24 hours per month.

- Pay range: $19.00 to $21.85 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
