About the role#
Saint Luke's is hiring a Nursing Intern for the Surgical Intermediate Cardiac Care unit. This is a paid, part-time position that offers experience in a clinical environment. You will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse to support patient care and unit operations.
What you'll do#
- Perform clinical procedures and technical tasks as permitted by unit competency validation.
- Provide direct and indirect care to patients.
- Assist other members of the health care team.
- Follow the guidance and supervision of a Registered Nurse at all times.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited RN program.
- Completion of a Fundamentals of Nursing course.
- An expected graduation date in 2027 or 2028.
- Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
Location & details#
- Location: Kansas City, Missouri.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: PRN, with a minimum of one shift per six-week schedule.
