About the role#
This is a part-time, PRN Nurse Extern position within the Medical Surgical unit. You will work on-site in Little River, South Carolina. This role is open on a rolling basis.
What you'll do#
- Perform direct patient care tasks and record patient data.
- Conduct hourly rounds using established service excellence standards.
- Assist with nutritional and hydration needs, such as feeding and providing fluids.
- Maintain cleanliness for patients and the unit environment.
- Communicate relevant patient information to the interdisciplinary team.
- Support patient and visitor safety and comfort.
- Handle general transportation and courier duties.
- Help ensure the proper storage and safety of medications.
- Participate in evidence-based tasks to support your professional growth.
- Follow health and safety protocols to protect patients and staff.
- Observe and recognize normal signs of growth and development in the patient population.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least one semester of a nursing program.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Participation in occupation risk assessment.
