About the role#
The Clinical Enrichment Program is a 10-week paid summer internship for nursing students. You will work alongside a preceptor to gain hands-on experience outside of your formal academic training. This program helps you build cognitive, technical, and communication skills necessary for professional nursing.
What you'll do#
- Follow the schedule of your assigned preceptor.
- Gain clinical experience across four departments: Inpatient Care, Obstetrics, Emergency, and the Operating Room.
- Customize your time in each department based on your specific interests or learning needs.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited four-year baccalaureate nursing program.
- Completion of your third year of study by the start of the program.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification for healthcare providers.
- Ability to meet all pre-employment requirements.
- Submission of a cover letter, resume, and academic transcripts.
Location & details#
- Location: Brookings, South Dakota.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August).
- Pay: $20.00 per hour.
- Work schedule: Rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
