About the role#
This is a three-month internship program for graduates of an accredited nursing school. You will work on-site at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport as a Nurse Intern to gain experience while providing safe and effective patient care.
What you'll do#
- Perform patient care services.
- Communicate health care needs of patients and their families to the appropriate providers.
- Maintain equipment and supplies for your assigned area.
- Practice within legal, ethical, and professional boundaries.
- Work as a team member to reach quality outcomes and support patient satisfaction.
What you'll need#
- Graduation from an accredited, state-approved nursing program.
- A valid Mississippi registered nurse license, which you must obtain before starting the program.
- Knowledge of patient care procedures, medical terminology, and sterile techniques.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and clear oral and written communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
