About the role#
Saint Luke's is seeking a Nursing Intern to join the Medical Intermediate Float Pool. This position provides nursing students with the opportunity to gain clinical experience while working under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. This is a paid, PRN role requiring a minimum of one shift per six-week schedule.
What you'll do#
- Perform clinical procedures and provide direct and indirect patient care under supervision.
- Assist other health care team members with daily tasks.
- Complete technical tasks following unit competency validation.
- Note that interns are restricted from performing any licensed nursing tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited RN program.
- Completion of a Fundamentals of Nursing course.
- An expected graduation date in 2027 or 2028.
- Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Less than one year of applicable experience.

- Location: Kansas City, Missouri.
- Terms: Summer 2027 and Fall 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: PRN (minimum one shift per six-week schedule).
