About the role#
The Nurse Intern supports patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role focuses on hands-on learning and assisting with essential care tasks to help maintain a therapeutic environment for patients. You will work night shifts, collaborate with the healthcare team, and contribute to the daily healing process.
What you'll do#
- Provide basic patient care within your scope of practice, including monitoring vital signs and assisting with hygiene.
- Communicate with the care team during handoffs and report changes in patient conditions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in patient rooms and shared spaces.
- Document all tasks and observations accurately and on time.
- Support patient care by performing hourly rounding and interacting with patients and families.
- Assist with the maintenance and cleaning of basic medical equipment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Nursing program.
- Completion of fundamentals of clinicals in an accredited Nursing program.
- Zero to one year of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute.
- Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the State Department of Public Safety.
