Nurse Intern

About the role#

The Nurse Intern supports patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role focuses on hands-on learning, collaboration with the healthcare team, and providing safe and organized care to enhance the patient experience.

What you'll do#

• Provide basic patient care within your scope of practice, including vital sign monitoring and hygiene assistance.
• Communicate effectively with the care team, report changes in patient conditions, and participate in shift reports.
• Document all tasks and observations clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment to meet safety and compliance standards.
• Assist with basic equipment maintenance, including cleaning and storage of patient care tools.
• Perform hourly rounding and purposeful patient interactions to foster therapeutic relationships.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an accredited Nursing program.
• Completion of the fundamentals of clinicals in an accredited Nursing program.
• 0-1 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
• CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the State Department of Public Safety (for Skilled Nursing).
• Basic understanding of patient care procedures and medical terminology.
