About the role#
The Radiology Student performs diagnostic imaging procedures under the supervision of a registered Radiologic Technologist. This role focuses on developing technical skills and clinical competency through supervised learning experiences across various imaging modalities while supporting patient care.
What you'll do#
- Perform radiologic examinations under the direct supervision of a registered Radiologic Technologist.
- Position patients and select technical factors to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Communicate with patients to provide instructions and promote comfort during procedures.
- Follow department protocols for personal protective equipment, radiation safety, and infection control.
- Label images and use side markers according to departmental standards.
- Document procedures in systems and ensure exam fields and charges are accurate.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- 0-1 years of clinical experience.
- BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Basic understanding of radiographic procedures, imaging equipment, and radiation safety principles.
- Ability to follow instructions and apply feedback in a clinical learning environment.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with electronic health records.
