About the role#
The Nurse Intern supports patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. This position focuses on hands-on learning and assisting with essential care tasks to help maintain a therapeutic environment for patients. You will work as part of a healthcare team to provide safe and organized care.
What you'll do#
- Provide basic patient care including vital sign monitoring and hygiene assistance.
- Communicate with the care team during handoffs and report changes in patient conditions.
- Document all tasks and observations clearly and accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to support patient safety.
- Assist with the maintenance of basic equipment like glucometers and scales.
- Perform hourly rounding and interact with patients to support their healing process.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Nursing program.
- Completion of fundamentals of clinicals in an accredited Nursing program.
- Up to 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
- A basic understanding of patient care procedures and medical terminology.
- Valid CPR certification from the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Safety and Health Institute.
