Radiology Student

About the role#

The Radiology Student performs diagnostic imaging procedures under the direct supervision of a registered Radiologic Technologist. This role focuses on developing technical skills and clinical competency through supervised learning experiences across various imaging modalities while supporting patient care and department operations.

What you'll do#

• Perform radiologic examinations under direct supervision, ensuring proper patient identification and adherence to imaging protocols.
• Position patients appropriately and select technical factors to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Communicate with patients to provide instructions and promote comfort during procedures.
• Follow department protocols for PPE, radiation safety, and infection control.
• Accurately label images and use side markers according to departmental standards.
• Document procedures in appropriate systems, including exam fields and charge entry.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized imaging environment.
• Seek guidance from technologists and clinical instructors to ensure safe and competent performance.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• 0-1 years of clinical experience.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Basic understanding of radiographic procedures, imaging equipment, radiation safety, and infection prevention.
• Ability to follow instructions, apply feedback, and maintain professional communication with patients and healthcare team members.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with electronic health records.
