About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap. This program provides an overview of store, district, and regional operations while preparing you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focusing on Key Learning Experiences.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly, including prescription fulfillment.
- Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures at each workstation.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles.
- Maintain pharmacy safety and assist with inventory activities.
What you'll need#
- Acceptance into, or active enrollment in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to complete required training within a designated timeframe.
- Ability to concentrate on tasks over extended periods.
- Ability to pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
