About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to support the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. You will assist in maintaining a safe and effective environment while delivering care to patients. This role involves managing patient care programs and helping customers manage their health needs.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy work environment.
- Deliver exceptional care to each patient through pharmacy professional practice and customer service.
- Keep customers and patients healthy by adopting and managing patient care programs.
- Align team members around the purpose of patient care.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, and enthusiasm.
- Perform tasks such as inventory management, workflow management, and regulatory compliance.
- Once state regulations are met, you will strive to provide patient immunizations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to complete all required training within state guidelines.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring finger dexterity and visual acuity.
- Availability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
