About the role#
As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your didactic learning and pharmacy practice into real-world settings to prepare for a Pharmacist role. You will participate in a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation, deepening your understanding of patient safety, quality assurance, and pharmacy operations. You will support the pharmacy team in delivering consistent care while developing your professional skills.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care during interactions.
- Complete basic inventory activities, such as putting away deliveries and cycle counts, as permitted by law and directed by leadership.
- Understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles.
- Deliver additional patient health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, where allowable by law and supported by required training and certification.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
What you'll need#
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program.
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe per state guidelines.
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure as required.
- Ability to work full-time during the Summer 2026 term.
