About the role#
The Nursing Assistant Student supports our nursing staff with patient care activities and nonprofessional services. You will work under the close supervision of a nurse to help ensure the comfort and personal needs of patients are met during their hospital stay.
What you'll do#
- Assist with patient cleaning, feeding, and changing bed linens.
- Take and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, and blood pressure.
- Help patients with daily living activities such as bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, and ambulation.
- Prepare patient rooms and equipment to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Answer patient call lights and provide general care, including pre- and post-operative support.
- Document patient information and participate in unit quality assurance programs.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in a CNA program in good standing.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
