About the role#
This is a Per Diem student nurse technician position at the Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center in Fairlawn, Ohio. You will work the night shift, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum requirement of 24 hours per month. This role focuses on inpatient and post-surgical orthopedics.
What you'll do#
- Assist the nursing team with direct patient care and daily unit operations.
- Help patients with their activities of daily living.
- Perform clinical tasks including blood glucose testing, EKGs, and collecting blood or urine specimens.
- Remove IV lines and Foley catheters.
- Aid in patient transfers, mobility, transport, and discharge procedures.
- Escort patients to pre-op or testing areas and handle equipment removal.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program, working toward an associate or bachelor degree.
- Completion of at least one clinical rotation is preferred.
- Previous experience in patient care or customer service is preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively, including basic math skills for data recording.
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and clinical abbreviations is preferred.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 3 months of your start date.
