About the role#
This is a full-time Pharmacy Intern position at PharMerica, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services. You will work in a closed-door, non-retail pharmacy environment that supports long-term care and senior living clients. This role is on-site and follows a rolling term schedule.
What you'll do#
- Fill prescriptions and prepare IVs under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.
- Enter data into the computer system in coordination with the Billing Supervisor.
- Assist the pharmacist with final checks of filled prescriptions.
- Prepackage medication for dispensing according to government regulations.
- Maintain inventory by receiving and rotating supplies, posting lot numbers, and tracking expiration dates.
- Check equipment to ensure it remains clean, safe, and properly calibrated.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in Pharmacy school.
- Ability to operate a computer.
- Strong attention to detail and a goal-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Necessary state and federal licenses or certifications.
