About the role#
As a Student Nurse Tech-PCT in the Neuroscience Multispecialty department, you support the nursing team by providing direct care to patients and their families. You work under the direction of a Registered Nurse to ensure patients receive consistent and compassionate care. This role is a practical way to gain experience in a clinical environment while you continue your nursing education.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct care to patients, including hygiene, bathing, and skin care.
- Assist patients with ambulation in their rooms, the halls, and the bathroom.
- Respond to patient and family requests and call lights.
- Help feed patients and record their fluid and food intake.
- Document vital signs and inform the nurse immediately of any changes in patient status.
- Perform point of care testing as delegated by the nursing staff.
- Keep the patient environment clean and assist with stocking supplies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Registered Nursing program.
- Completion of Nursing Fundamentals coursework, verified by a transcript.
- AHA Healthcare Providers BLS Certification, which can be completed during orientation if not already held.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- This position is located in Greenville, South Carolina, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
- The role is an on-site, PRN position with day shifts.
- This is a paid position.
