About the role#
This is a paid, full-time Retail Pharmacy Intern position based in Omaha, Nebraska. The role operates on-site and follows a rolling term structure.
What you'll do#
- Fill and process prescriptions under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
- Provide prompt and efficient service to customers.
- Assist with inventory control, including ordering and stocking merchandise.
- Prepare and affix labels to prescription containers.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy and dispensing area.
- Follow security and regulatory procedures, including Quality Assurance Programs.
- Maintain the confidentiality of private medical information and prescription data.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Current registration with the State Pharmacy Board as an intern.
- Ability to perform logical or scientific thinking to solve problems involving abstract and concrete variables.
- Proficiency in arithmetic, algebraic, and geometric calculations.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 10 pounds frequently.
- Capability to perform repetitive motions, including fingering, grasping, stooping, and reaching.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a retail environment.
