About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is seeking a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient clinic in Tallahassee. This is a full-time, paid position for individuals pursuing their clinical hours. You will work as an independent contractor, allowing you to determine your own working hours with the option to complete 50% of your work via telemedicine.
What you'll do#
- Conduct psychological assessments, diagnose conditions, and provide therapeutic interventions.
- Deliver various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and strategies.
- Document services rendered according to company policies.
- Maintain your professional knowledge through continuing education.
What you'll need#
- A master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or documentation that you are in the process of obtaining one.
- Prior work experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- This role is based in Tallahassee, Florida.
- The position is on-site with telehealth options available.
- Compensation is $35 to $40 per billable hour.
