About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is hiring a Psychotherapist Intern for our outpatient clinic. This is a paid, full-time position based in Kissimmee, Florida. As an independent contractor, you have the flexibility to determine your own working hours. We provide full administrative support and group malpractice insurance.
What you'll do#
- Perform psychological assessments, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions for patients.
- Deliver various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists and social workers.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and therapeutic strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
- Keep your skills sharp through ongoing professional development.
What you'll need#
- A master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Previous work experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Kissimmee, Florida.
- Work Modality: On-site with options for telehealth.
- Compensation: $35 to $40 per billable hour.
- Schedule: Offices are open Monday through Thursday for in-person and telehealth visits, with telemedicine availability Friday through Sunday.
