About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is hiring a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient clinics. This position offers a mix of on-site and remote work. You will work as an independent contractor, allowing you to set your own working hours. Our offices operate Monday through Thursday for in-person and telehealth visits, with additional telemedicine availability from Friday to Sunday.
What you'll do#
- Perform psychological assessments, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions.
- Deliver various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and coping strategies.
- Complete documentation for all services provided.
- Maintain your knowledge of current developments in the field of psychotherapy.
What you'll need#
- A Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or current progress toward obtaining one.
- Previous work experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Port St Lucie, Florida.
- Employment type: Full-time, paid contract position.
- Compensation: $35 to $40 per billable hour.
