About the role#
Harmony United Psychiatric Care is seeking a Psychotherapist Intern to join our outpatient clinic in Port Saint John. This is a contracted position that offers flexibility in scheduling and the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team. We serve adults, adolescents, and children aged five and older.
What you'll do#
- Conduct psychological assessments, provide diagnoses, and deliver therapeutic interventions.
- Offer various modalities of psychotherapy and counseling services.
- Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions and coping strategies.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all services provided.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with clinical advancements.
What you'll need#
- A Master’s degree in mental health counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy.
- An active Florida Intern license or current progress toward obtaining one.
- Previous experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Port Saint John, Florida.
- Modality: On-site, remote, and hybrid options are available.
- Schedule: As an independent contractor, you determine your own working hours. Our offices are open Monday through Thursday for in-person and telehealth appointments, with additional telehealth availability Friday through Sunday.
- Compensation: $35 to $40 per billable hour.
- Benefits: Includes group malpractice insurance and administrative support.
